Baby Sign Language: Dog and Cat

Teach your baby the signs for the words dog and cat in baby sign language with the following descriptions and videos.

Dog

Slap the palm on the hip twice. Then snap the fingers of the same hand twice.

Cat

Form the hand into an F of the fingerspelling alphabet. Mimic stroking the whiskers on a cat’s face using the thumb and index finger of the F.
