Baby Sign Language: Fall Down and Hurt in American Sign Language

Teach your baby the signs for the words fall down and hurt in baby sign language with the following descriptions and videos.

Fall Down

Hold one hand in front of the chest with the palm facing up. Form the other hand into the signed number two (2). Touch the index and middle fingers to the palm. Flip the number two over to mimic the motion of falling down.


Form both hands into the signed number one (1). Hold the hands at shoulder level. Move the hands inward until the tips of the index fingers touch. The face should express pain and sadness.
